My experience in care
I am a dynamic Quality Director with over 10 years of dedicated experience in improving quality assurance across healthcare services. With a proven track record in leading teams and implementing essential governance structures, I have helped organisations achieve a GOOD rating across a range of services.
I am committed to enhancing patient care and operational excellence, and ready to elevate quality standards and outcomes within any organisation and have a wealth of experience both as a clinician and a senior manager/director within social care.
Throughout my extensive career as a clinician, senior manager, NI and director in the public, not-for-profit, and private sectors, I have consistently prioritised people, care, and quality. I believe that by focusing on these elements, we can achieve not only financial success but also the recognition of being a top provider.
Over the past two decades, I have honed my skills in caring for people, ensuring their safety, and improving their environments. My experience spans across communities, social care, domiciliary care, extra care schemes, and learning disability services, where I have demonstrated a profound understanding of the needs and aspirations of both customers and the wider community.
My hobbies and interests
I am a Non-Executive Director for Thera Trust (a learning disability charity) and a Public Governor for Devon, South West Ambulance NHS FT Council of Governors, holding Board and NEDs to account. Outside of work, I also like to keep fit, taking part in walking, winter mountaineering, and cycling.
What I love about working in the care sector
“I firmly believe in the power of partnership, transparency, and regular communication between providers and external stakeholders. These elements foster trust, enhance quality, and ultimately drive commercial success. The care sector is fundamentally about people – those we care for, those we work with, and those we communicate with externally.”
